I know I have been sucking by not sending out the journal yet!

Sorry guys, been busy busy busy lately, and it’s been slipping my mind. I’ll be sending it out this weekend.

These are the addresses I have, I know there are some people who wanted to be apart of it but I don’t have record of their address for some reason. If you’re one of them, or you’re interested in joining, email me (jessieshungry@gmail.com) with the subject line”9000 Miles and Back” and this info: (please copy paste it into the email, it makes it so much easier for me to organize all the participants)

Not many people, spread the word and let’s get more people to join! I know there are so many of you who were interested!

title?

I need a new title for this project! any ideas?

So I went and bought the notebook today. I upgraded it from last time! It’s fancy now. Some kind of pleather.
I’ve decided there won’t be a limit on how many pages you use. There’s plenty of pages in here to go around.
Keep spreading the word about this project. I only got maybe 10 of you who sent me your info. I’m going to organize all the locations again in an organized fashion and send it out as soon I can, hopefully within the next month. :)

So here’s what we’ll do:

I’m thinking of two different options since we have such a small group now.

Option 1: Original idea.Mail a journal around the country where people visually communicate their person interests, beliefs, passions, and talents. The magical thing about this option is the journey of the journal. The wear and tear of this project would add personality. The only downside of this is knowing the book will make it back to its home and taking too long to get from person to person.

Option 2: Everyone creates their own page. We will have a set dimension of paper, (IE: 8.5x11, 9x9, etc.) and each person will work on their own spread. The pages can be lined paper, paper bags, fabric, cardboard, card stock, etc. There will be a deadline to mail these pages to me, I can scan them to share with you guys, and then I can bound them together to create a book. Obviously I would take pictures of the book so you can see it in one piece. If you don’t mail it to me by the deadline, you don’t get in the book. The great thing is we won’t have to worry about losing the project or it taking too long, BUT it won’t get the chance to travel from place to place and the only person that gets to witness it grow as a tangible project in the end is me. And I don’t like to keep the magic all to myself. Any other suggestions to allow this book to travel are welcome. I was thinking, maybe each person can add the page somehow as the book travels?

If you are interested, spread this around and then send me an email to jessieshungry@gmail.com with this information:

Vote, Option 1 or Option 2?:

The idea that has the most votes is what we will work on. If we decide to do option 2, I will make a new blog for it since it’s an entirely different concept, and more than likely a new name for the project.

Let me know, guys! Maximum number of participants is still 30.

Unfortunately, I didn’t get 30 people, but I’m thinking maybe we should do it between the 10-15 that do want to participate.

What do you say, people? Should we just do this as a cute little gift to ourselves?

Alright, let’s do this.

It’s been a while, but I had several people who were still interested in doing this again, so let’s fuckin’ do it. I think this time I will make a maxium of 30 people involved, and a maximum of two weeks to work on your spread. If all of that goes according to plan, then we will consider sending it outside of the states. Hopefully that will make it a little more fast paced and give people some more motivation to work on their page!
So let’s work on finding some people who want to participate!

Basically, the idea is that we send a journal around the country, (perhaps the world) and we each fill a page full of things about us, whether it’s a photograph, drawing, poem, or song. Anything that describes who you are is allowed in this book. Let’s try to keep it PG-13 and respect everyone else’s beliefs!

If we can get 30 people to sign up, then I’ll go and buy a new book. If you’re interested, email me (jessieshungry@gmail.com) your first and last name and address, and your tumblr URL. Information will remain confidential and is at your own discretion. Keep in mind there will be at least one other people who will be aware of your address (the one who has to forward the journal on to you!)

If you guys are up for it! Maybe we’ll make a smaller list so it won’t take as long… I don’t know! If anyone would like to try again, let me know!

Unfortunately, whoever had the journal last hasn’t shipped it to the next person yet. It’s been several months now. I’m not sure if it’ll ever get shipped. :(

Mystery package received in the mail…

kaleidoscopedust:

turned out to be the fah-reaking 9000milesandback journal!

I forgot that this day would be coming. And I had no idea that it would be today.

It feels like Christmas.
